Head coach Pete Carroll provided a number of injury updates after the Seattle Seahawks’ 36-20 loss to the Atlanta Falcons in the Divisional Round.

Defensive back DeShawn Shead may have suffered a torn ACL. Shead left the game with a knee injury and did not return.

“He hurt his knee today,” Carroll said early in his press conference. Later, when asked about the specifics, Carroll acknowledged the injury was significant and “possibly” a torn ACL.

Offensive lineman Germain Ifedi sustained a high ankle sprain Saturday afternoon.  He left the ball game a number of times and was replaced by Rees Odhiambo at guard.

“He tried to come back and did,” Carroll said. “He just couldn’t sustain it.”

Tight end Brandon Williams was evaluated for a concussion and did not return to the game. Cornerback Jeremy Lane went into the locker room briefly with a round of cramps but was able to finish.

Carroll spoke briefly on running back C.J. Prosise, who was inactive on Saturday.  Carroll said it was “tempting” to play him, but he wasn’t “functionally back yet.”

Carroll will have further injury updates during his final press conference of the year when the Seahawks return to Seattle.
